Peru

We flew out of sunny California to Atlanta and then on to Lima, Peru.  It was a long flight, arriving rather late at night.  A representative from Traveland tour company met us at the impressively nice airport and we waited a few minutes to collect several other people in our group who arrived on the same flight.  Our Seattle friends Peter and Carol were the only other people we knew at that time.

If you plan to visit Peru, I heartily recommend Traveland.com and their Peruvian contact Rainbow Trail Tours.   Fortunately, we had a great group of 39 people, but our guides were all exceptionally good at taking care of everyone and their luggage while giving us lots of information in a well organized and enjoyable manner.  Larry and I are not tour group fans, but this was one place where a tour proved very helpful.  We saw more than we ever would have by ourselves in one week and had great fun also.  Besides that, the price was too good to pass up.
