Romanian Trip

Well, this trip will definitely be one of new experiences!  We signed up for a Habitat for Humanity “Global Village “ trip to Romania.  We will help to build housing for some low income people who will also be contributing their “sweat equity” of 500 hours of work on their new lodging.  Habitat has been working in Romania for the past 10 years building over 100 housing units in this country that is slowly recovering from the economic devastation brought on by their oppressive Communist dictator Ceausescu.  Habitat also partners with the Good Samaritans, a group that is attempting to help some of the many teenage orphans of Romania to learn construction skills.  We will also be spending some time before and after the work week doing a bit of sightseeing on our own.
